The Olympic bobsleigh track is situated near Innsbruck, just above the quaint Tirolean village of Igls (pronounced “Eagles”). The track has been host to the 1964 and 1976 Olympic bobsleigh competitions. This is where Britain’s Tony Nash and Robin Dixon won gold in the 1964 Olympics in the 2 man event; racing on the original, natural track, the built up walls of which can still be seen today on the roadway.
A new, 14 bend, refrigerated track was built for the 1976 games and this track is still regularly used for World Cup competitions. This is the 1 kilometre of high speed twists and turns that you will experience with Icerush Ltd.
